If you can’t decide between a SUV and a coupe then the BMW X4 may well be exactly what you’re looking for!
Although it’s based on the BMW X3, the BMW X4 is the perfect sized 4×4 but don’t let the 4×4 convince you that this model is suitable for off-road because it is not, this car is much more at home on the roads.
Other than the Range Rover Evoque, you’ll find it difficult to find another coupe-style SUV. Although you could put the X4 in the same category as the Audi Q5, the Porsche Macan and the Lexus RX, the X4 doesn’t boast a petrol option. You’ll find that the engine options are limited to the 2ltr Turbo Diesel, which gives 187bhp or the 3ltr, options with a choice of 254bhp or 309bhp.
If you decide to opt for the smaller 2ltr engine then you’ll have the option of either manual or automatic yet if you choose either of the 3ltr options then you’ll receive the 8-Speed Sport Automatic Transmission gearbox as standard.
With 3 different modes to choose from, the X Line, the SE and the M Sport, you’ll find the SE the cheaper of the three although generally more expensive than the Evoque, you’ll find that the specification is good. Automatic air conditioning, 18inch alloys, heated leather seats, cruise control, parking sensors, satellite navigation and DAB radio all as standard you’ll find yourself with everything you could need.
With the X-Line you’ll get added extras such as sports seats, slightly different 18inch alloys and if you opt for the 30d model you’ll also get the BMW Driver Control Performance System.
The M Sport is the top of the X4 class and for that you’ll get 19inch alloy wheels, the M Sport Body Kit as well as sports suspension!
