The Government have reintroduced the car scrappage scheme in the hope of encouraging older, more polluting cars, to be swapped for newer, cleaner models paving the way for a greener future.
With no less than 24 car brands offering the car scrappage scheme since the beginning of the year, there are some fantastic deals to be had when looking for a new make and model car.
Although Vauxhall were the first to offer the scheme again back in May, many other brands have soon followed suit.
The scrappage scheme is also believed to have been introduced due to the lack of new car sales in the motor industry throughout 2017.
The used car scrappage scheme sees manufacturers offer up to £2,000 for their old car to trade against a new model.

With almost 69,500 VW Golfs sold in 2016, it made it to number 4 in the top 10 of cars purchased in that year.
