Can you subscribe to a Polestar?
Yes, it is possible to subscribe to a Polestar with Cocoon Vehicles and we’ve been offering these amazing vehicles for a while now. With prices starting at just £869 plus VAT per month* (Correct at the time of publishing) we’re cheaper than quite a few other vehicle subscription providers in the UK and our mileage bolt-on’s make this ideal for high mileage allowances.

Is the Polestar 2 a great car?
We think so, you can tell that their is an association with a particular Sweedish manufacturer as the car feels solid, well built and most importanly safe. On-board spec is excellent with all of the latest mod cons including Google Services for your Satellite Navigation, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Lane Assist and more.
The latest revised Polestar 2 (2023) now has a blanked out panel at thefront instead of the previous squared grill, the alloy wheels look super smart and the interior is ultra modern and simple.
The car itself feels very spacious throughout with plenty of room for all of the passengers and plenty of boot space offering 405 litres.
Who are Polestar 2's competitors?
When we think about competition against the Polestar 2, we immediately think about the Tesla Model 3, whilst their headline cash price is cheaper, when it comes to leasing and subscriptions, the RV’s are slightly better making their monthly payments cheaper than the equivilent TM3.
Other vehicles that the Polestar 2 competes with is the BMW i4, Mercedes-Benz EQE Saloon and the Volkswagen Id.7. Obviously there are pro’s and con’s for all, but we feel it is up their with the BMW i4 which we all love in the office.
How does it perform?
You can change settings within the infotainment to allow you to change things like Brake Regen and Steering Weight, personally we all like heavy steering and for economy the highest level of brake regeneration, the latter also allows for near perfect one pedal driving.
Visibility isn’t the best with the Polestar 2, but with reversing cameras and most models having the 360-degree camera, you won’t have to worry too much. We particularly like the rimless door mirrors.
With regards to the ride comfort, the car is quite rigid on the road and whilst not uncomfortable, driving around Belper with multiple pot holes, you sure know your close to them.
Out on the dual carriageway and Motorway the car just cruises and with slightly less road noise than the Tesla Model 3, it really is an enjoyable driving experience.
Whether you go for the single or dual motor set-up, there is plenty of torque and you get up to speed as quickly as you need it to.
Heading into the single-track roads in the Peak District, with the heavy steering you do sometimes feel like your in one of the M model BMW’s, the heavy steering feels great and you know how much input to provide the steering wheel.
The infotainment system is similar to the equipment offered in Volvo vehicles, the screen is portrait orientation with everything you need at your fingertips.
Satellite Navigation services are provided by Google and you can log into your Google Account to plan routes on your Smartphone or by adding your saved or favourite places, for those who use Google Maps on a regular basis, you will recognise the familiar interface.
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is standard on all models on the Polestar 2m it is noted that Polestar may integrate Apple CarPlay even further into the system in the future, something we are really looking forward to. This will give you more personalised settings for speedo, climate and infotainment options.
Range and Charging
Depending which model you opt for will depend on the range, we currently offer the Long Range Single Motor which offers upto 406 miles of range (conditions dependent), this is more than enough for most people and fleet drivers. It is always worth checking the EV Database to find out the different ranges depending on temperature, etc.
Charging on a 205kW DC charger will take around 28 minutes from 10% to 80%, on AC the maximum input from a home charger is 11kW, we found that it was plenty of time to charge over night on the Octopus Intelligent Go tariff costing us around £1.35 to replenish 100 miles.
