First Production Range Rover to be auctioned

First Production Range RoverSilverstone auctions will be selling the first ever production Range Rover in Solihull in 1969 and has a chassis number of 1. It still has all of its original engine, gearbox, chassis and axles.

The car, which was believed to be lost for a short while, is in its original colour and has its original number plate of YVB 151H, although for a short while it had been repainted gold, had its plate changed and was on display in a Land Rover centre in Huddersfield.

The car has been used for commercial purposes since 1991, taking part in photo shoots and video promotion.
