Probably one of the most highly anticipated cars of 2016, the new Ford GT has already got people talking!
Unveiled at the Detroit Motor Show last year, this unbelievably sexy supercar has a mid-mounted 3.5 litre V6 Ecoboost engine and boasts more than a whopping 600bhp! The primarily carbon-fibre body promises to be one of the best power-to-weight ratios of any production car.
The GT is a nod to the GT40 Racing car of the 1960’s but Ford have brought this beauty into present day with a redesign that will rival the Ferrari 458 and the Lamborghini Hurricane.
The GT’s Electric Control Unit processes 3,000 signals from 50 sensors around the car and uses 28 microprocessors running 10 million lines of code (a Boeing 787 uses six million lines) making it a world away from any normal V6 or V8 engine.
The bad news? These stunners won’t be hitting the roads until late 2016 when production starts and demand is already higher than Ford had anticipated. Although there’s no confirmed price as yet, rumours state a price tag of £250,000
