The annual CES Event took place between 5th and 8th January this week. CES is a global consumer electronics and consumer technology tradeshow that takes place every January in Las Vegas.
During the event last week, the first car which has been talked about for the past year, was unveiled by Faraday Future. The model known as the FF91 has the fastest acceleration of any electric vehicle on the market and can reach 60mph in 2.39 seconds which is rival to Tesla’s Model S can reach the same speed in 2.5 seconds.
If you weren’t impressed already, then you might be interested to know that the FF91 can travel up to 378 miles on a single charge. It is also equipped with artificial intelligence and self-driving capabilities and is packed with an array of sensors including cameras, radar, 3D radar and also facial recognition.
The car’s creators state that the car will get to know it’s owner and passengers over time by the use of personalised accounts making it the ‘world’s first truly connected car’. Touch or voice control will be used to access messaging, audio and apps and will enable the driver to move from their living room into their car without pausing.
There are two antennas and multiple modems that provide WiFi as well as a HD screen to stream content.
The car will record both the drivers and the regular passenger’s favourite preferences enabling a personalised drive each and every time the car is used.
The future of motoring looks incredibly bright and we just love all the gadgets and design concept behind the new FF91, but in terms of looks? The jury is still out on that one as far as we’re concerned…
