We’d prefer it if you didn’t exceed the contracted mileage as all of the vehicles are on strict contracts between all parties.
If you do go over the contracted mileage, you will be charged a pence per mile based on the number of days you have been in the vehicle.
Flexible Contracts
If you are in one of our flexible contracts (Subscription/Flexible Leases) we will calculate your mileage based on the following calculation:
Monthly Mileage Allowance x 12 Months ÷ 365 x Number of Days
For Example, if you had a monthly mileage allowance of 1,000 miles per month this equates to 12,000 miles per year and 32.88 miles per day. If you had this car for 90 days, this would give you an allowance of 2959 miles.
Short-Term Contracts
With our short-term contracts, you will generally have an overall contracted allowance. So if you have a 6-month car lease, that includes 6,000 miles, you are able to do a maximum of 6,000 miles before you would start being invoiced for an excess mileage charge.
Excess days will not be included within your contract unless agreed in writing.
Mid-Contract
If you are already partway through your contract and you believe you will exceed your mileage allowance, get in touch with our team. It is generally cheaper to negotiate a higher mileage during a contract.
