Cupra Formentor in Tech Grey

The latest Cupra Formentor is a great car and is ideal for those who want an SUV with style. Cupra is the Spanish Brand born from SEAT, the Formentor is part of a fantastic lineup of vehicles which really do hit the mark.

Its main competitors in the marketplace include the Mercedes GLA, the Volkswagen T-Roc or the BMW X2, yet this latest model has the latest 1.5 turbo engine mated with the hybrid system, making the whole package feel very performance-like. The engine produces 148bhp and comes as either the 204 or the 272ps, both set-ups are amazing.

This particular car has the adaptive suspension offering comfort mode or allowing you to firm it all up for a sporty feel. It has hot hatch handling, which makes it an absolute joy to drive, especially when you hit the roads in the Peak District.

Inside the car the seating position is excellent, although you do sit lower down than you would in the Volkswagen Tiguan or the Volvo XC40. Everything is in easy reach, pedal feel spot-on and long journeys are a real breeze.

The infotainment system is excellent and older systems were criticised for lag. There was nothing here, although it took me ages to work out how to get back to the homescreen. Apple CarPlay integration is excellent and always my first choice when it comes to satellite navigation.

Overall, we feel that the Cupra Formentor is an excellent choice for those who want to subscribe to a quality medium hatchback/SUV, as this is also a plug-in hybrid, it would be a great option for Salary Sacrifice if you didn’t want to go down the electric vehicle route.
