We could not believe the amazing uptake on our first few batches of the BMW M3 Touring which we had available on our BMW Car Subscription range. M Models, for us, have always been popular and we’ve previously ran M2, M3 Saloon, M4 Coupe & Cabriolet and the M6 on fleet.
Family Car?
You don’t need to compromise on a car if you’ve got children and/or pets, we all know that we’d love a BMW M4 Coupe with kids but you’ll need to add the optional show horn. Take all the pain away and subscribe to the BMW M3 Touring from Cocoon Vehicles.
It’s beautiful and agressive in the same sentence, those hugh grilles at the front of the car looks like the car may swallow the road. The flared wheel arches are impressive but its what is at the ban-end that counts. As well as a Quad Tailpipe Exhaust, you get the space in the boot, with 500 litres available.
Fast Car?
Lets start with BMW xDrive system, some M lovers will not appriciate that the German manufacturer has dropped any option for the touring version of the M3 to be rear-wheel drive. We don’t see this as a negative, in fact we think it drives better. Plus BMW has programmed the car to push the power more towards the rear tyres, depending on the drive mode.
The car has BMW’s 3.0-litre in-line six-cylinder engine producing 503bhp and 650Nm of torque. The car can accelerate to 62mph in 3.6 seconds. Whilst it doesn’t have a dual-clutch transmission, the gear change is still on point.
Economical Car?
You don’t subscribe or lease to a BMW M3 Touring and worry about the economy figures, nor would you select this vehicle on your company car scheme or salary sacrifice program. But at 27.2mpg combined MPG it isn’t too much of an Amex killer.
Inside the Cabin
The BMW M3’s dashboard set-up has been brought right up to date inline with other popular models such as the BMW X5 and BMW X7, including that amazing curved touchscreen design and the latest 8.0 operating system from BMW. Downside is that physical buttons for the climate control are now within a screen, but easy once you get used to it.
Satellite Navigation is ok, but we prefer using Apple CarPlay and this BMW integrates the smartphone software so nicely into the screen and even into the digital dashboard.
All versions of the M3 Touring have the Harmon Kardon sound system which is truly immense.
