Contract Black-Out Periods
As a family business, and with members of staff with younger/school-age families, we encourage taking advantage of this time. Our traditional office closures are usually over Easter, the last week of August following the Summer Bank Holiday and Christmas/New Year, all of which are traditionally quieter times for our business.
Blackout periods mean it is not possible to have your vehicle collected or return your vehicle on these dates; these form part of your contract. It effectively applies to our flexible car lease fleet, as we try not to offer fixed contracts if they fall within these blackout periods.
All return forms will be processed on the next working day after a blackout date and with the 5 working days notice.
We endeavour to give as much notice as possible of blackout dates and recommend that you bookmark this page for future reference. We will also include these dates on our email footer messages, on our blog and in our newsletters.

Special Closing Dates for Cocoon Vehicles
We would like to take this opportunity to remind our customers of our special opening hours and off-hire procedures during these periods:
October
The office will be closed on Thursday 15th and Friday 16th September for staff training and systems upgrades.
Christmas and New Year 2026/27
The office will close at 3pm on Wednesday 23rd December and remain closed until 9am on Monday 4th January 2027.
Should you wish to arrange a collection/return prior to the Christmas closure, strictly the last date we can accept the Online Returns Form Submission is 3pm on Wednesday 9th December 2026. The last date before the closure for deliveries and pre-arranged returns will be Friday 18th December.
Emails and phone calls will not be responded to until Monday 4th January 2027 when the office will re-open.
Please Note. That any returns/collections/off-hires will not be possible during the close of business between 23rd December 2026 and 4th January 2027. All requests made via the RETURN REQUEST FORM will be dealt with once we have reopened on Monday 4th January 2027.

We’re proud that our short-term car lease and car subscription services have come in handy yet again to so many customers including essential workers like employees for the NHS, Police Forces and many more.
It is an annual tradition to close the office for an additional week over Christmas and New Year, our quietest period.

The offices will close at 3pm on Wednesday 23rd December 2026 and will remain closed until 9am on Monday 4th January 2027.

Breakdown Assistance
Should in the unfortunate event you require the services of the breakdown assistance. More details can be found in your vehicle’s windscreen, in our returns standards booklets or on our breakdown assistance page.
Maintenance and Out of Hours Procedure
Should the service light illuminate on your vehicle on the dates that we are closed, please DO NOT book your car/van in for a service during this period as we will not be able to authorise any of the work carried out.
Please ensure that your car/van is booked in for a service as soon as possible after our re-opening dates to ensure that the dealership or service centre receives the correct authorisation.
If your vehicle is already booked in for service work on these dates, please contact the dealership or service centre prior to the closing date to authorise any work to be carried out.
You may be liable for any work carried out, should the instructions not be followed.
