VW Golf GT 2.0 TDi 140 PS now available on Short Term Lease

Cocoon Vehicles in Derby, offer Short Term Contract Hire and Leasing vehicles from their offices in Pride Park. They offer a wide range of vehicles including Audi, BMW, Mercedes and VW.

Their latest addition to the fleet is the VW Golf GT 2.0 TDi 140 PS, available on 3, 6 and 12 month contract hire periods with maintenance included and up to 3,000 miles per period.

“The VW Golf is one of the most requested vehicles” comments Rhys Adams, Marketing Director at Cocoon. “And the 2.0 GT TDi is one of the best models in the range.”

The VW Golf is always highly rated in Car Reviews with a fantastic specification including Air Conditioning, Alloy Wheels, CD Player and Cruise Control but the engine itself is the seller, the 140 PS engine does 0-62 in 9.3 seconds, pumps out only 126g/km of CO2 Emissions and with the Cocoon team driving, we were averaging well over the 50mpg.

Cocoon Vehicles offers Direct Debit facility to customers

Up until now, for those customers who have used Cocoon for their Short Term vehicle requirements, they have only been able to offer a few payment methods including BACS via Standing Order or CCA (Credit Card Authority).

Cocoon have since signed a contract with Eazipay Ltd to provide their customers with the option to pay via Direct Debit.

“The amount of people who prefer to pay via Direct Debit has increased over the last year, and as a reputable company we have always wanted to offer our customers with this option” explains Myron Nykolyszyn, Sales Director at Cocoon. “Our banks, one of the big four, have been no help at all with this and Eazipay approached us after we posted a forum message on http://www.4networking.biz.”

Over the next few weeks, customers will be given the option to pay via Direct Debit, and the relevant forms sent out.

Cocoon Vehicles in Derby, has this year seen a massive increase on the amount of cars taken on Short Term Contract Hire as oppose to Long Term Contract Hire, Leasing or Finance.

Paul Stone, Sales Director of Cocoon comments “We believe that the reason behind this is the uncertainty surrounding the new government. Companies and individuals don’t know where they stand at the moment, so Short Term is the ideal solution.”

Cocoon Vehicles has earmarked over 30 vehicles, ready for the new “60” plate change in September, which includes the fantastic BMW 320d M Sport and the Mercedes C220 Sport Saloon.

“These are the cars that we are having the most requests for, and at the moment they are very difficult to get hold of. We are placing our customers in interim vehicles, until the requested vehicle is returned by one of our customers.” Explains Paul.

“The long term contract hire and finance will pick up, and there are some fantastic deals out there at the moment. I don’t think the manufacturers long lead times is helping, but at the end of the day, Cocoon can use its short term vehicles until the new car arrives.”

Cocoon Vehicles in Derby already have a nice range of vehicles available on Short Term Contract Hire, but one customer keeps coming back time and time again.

Andrew Halsall, Managing Director of a large PLC in the UK, is now on his 6th vehicle from Cocoon Vehicles, and there is a pattern emerging from the vehicles he chooses.

Cocoon Vehicles in Derby, started in 2006 offering Contract Hire and Leasing offers via the internet. When things started to get serious, the management team decided to create a presence, so they chose Pride Park in Derby.

This location was chosen due to the investment that was happening in the Derby area. It gave Cocoon the chance to deal locally and buy locally. So has this happened?

“When we initially came to Pride Park, we did quite a bit of door knocking introducing ourselves to the local business community.” Comments Myron Nykolyszyn, Director at Cocoon. “The Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Chamber of Commerce, was definitely our first stop. They helped us no-end in meeting new clients at networking meetings.”

“When we moved to Pride Park, we not only changed from trying to brush off being an ‘Internet Car Broker’ but we wanted to appear as a One Stop Shop for everyone looking for a Car or Van, New or Nearly New. You could say we were a Car Supermarket, but without the forecourt!”

Paul Stone the Sales Manager backs this up “We can’t always get the best price, and we are always willing to tell the customer this. But sometimes we have deals that even the car dealers cannot match!”

“We always try and deal with the local suppliers of the vehicles and vehicle accessories, but unfortunately this isn’t always possible. This can be down to the supplier not wanting to use our terms or because they class us as competitors. All we want to achieve is customer satisfaction.”
